When can I check-in and out?
Check-in can happen from 3PM and checkout can happen no later than 12 noon. If you are in need of an earlier check-in or a later checkout, we kindly ask you to contact us and then we will do our best to meet your request.
Do you offer luggage storage?
Yes, we offer free storage of your luggage. You are welcome to drop off your luggage with us when you check in or check out, and then pick it up again at your convenience.
When can I enjoy my breakfast?
You can enjoy a breakfast from the buffet in our morning restaurant from Monday-Friday from 6.30AM-9.30AM and weekends from 7AM-10AM.
Can I get access to free Wi-Fi?
Yes, you can use our free Wi-Fi everywhere in the hotel. Besides, you are more than welcome to use the computer in our lobby.
Is there air conditioning in the rooms?
There is no air conditioning in the hotel rooms; however, fans are available and can be collected from the reception upon request.
How often is the room cleaned if I stay several nights in a row?
We leave it to you to decide, whether you want daily cleaning of the room, when you stay several nights in a row. In the same way as you can decide when you want your towels changed. This means that we do not automatically clean your room, we let you decide. We automatically clean your room on the 4th day.
If you still want daily cleaning of the room and/or new towels, we are happy to do so. You just have to notify the reception before 10PM the night before. Remember to provide us with your room number.
Where can I park my car, and what is the price?
You can park your car free of charge at the hotel’s private parking space with access either from the gate in Gentoftegade or through the driveway at Erichsensvej, which is behind the hotel.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, your dog is more than welcome to stay with us and is allowed everywhere in the hotel (except in our restaurant and always under your supervision). You must inform us that you are bringing your dog when booking your stay – and we will make sure there is a little treat waiting for your dog in the room upon arrival.
Is Gentofte Hotel suitable for wheelchair users?
Unfortunately, Gentofte Hotel is not well suited for wheelchair users.
Our building has several level differences and staircases, which can make it difficult to move around – both to the rooms and shared areas. The size of the elevator also makes it challenging to use with a larger wheelchair. In addition, we do not offer dedicated accessible rooms with extra space or specially adapted bathrooms.
If you have specific accessibility needs, we recommend contacting us before booking so we can assess whether our facilities meet your requirements.

What are the best transport options to the hotel?
You can easily get to and from Gentofte Hotel, whether you arrive in Copenhagen by plane, Oslo ferry, or train. Read more about your transport options.
When is the reception open?
Our reception is open 24 hours a day. If you are in need of transfer, parking, car or bike rental or anything alike, we are more than happy to assist you.
When can I eat in the restaurant?
You can enjoy a dinner in the Michelin restaurant, Restaurant Jordnær, which is located at the hotel. We recommend that you book a table in advance.
If you are looking for a place to eat your lunch either in Gentofte or in Copenhagen, we would be happy to share our best tips or recommendations if you contact us in the reception.
Do you offer laundry and dry cleaning services?
We offer laundry and dry cleaning services. Clothing must be dropped off at the reception on weekdays and Saturdays before 8.30AM and will be returned after 6PM on the same day. This service is not available on Sundays.

What is the hotel's smoking policy?
The hotel is 100% smoke-free. However, smoking is permitted in the outdoor areas of the hotel, where ashtrays are provided.
How do I change or cancel my booking?
If you have booked a room with 'Free Cancellation', you can change or cancel your reservation at no extra cost until 12PM on the day of arrival. To make changes or cancellations, you can use the link in your booking confirmation or select 'Change reservation' found in the 'Search' section at the top of this page. You are also welcome to contact the hotel directly. For reservations without a cancellation option, please refer to the applicable sales conditions.
What should I do if I haven't received an email confirmation for my booking?
If you haven't received your booking confirmation via email, you should check your spam filter. If the confirmation isn't in the spam filter, you should contact the hotel as soon as possible.
What if I have lost or forgotten something at the hotel?

Do you have any special precautions against bed bugs?
Yes – we have installed Valpas bed legs in all our rooms. It’s an intelligent and chemical-free technology that automatically detects and stops bed bugs before they have a chance to spread.
Bed bugs can travel with luggage, which is why we’ve chosen Valpas as an extra safety measure, so you can enjoy your stay without any worries.
