Dyrehavsbakken (Bakken):
The counterpart of Tivoli – an amusement park in the middle of the countryside.
Situated in the largest forest in the area, close to the royal hunting seat, the
Eremitage, which is situated at the highest point of the Erimitage plain.

Open: from march to august, all days from 2pm – 22pm. (the forest is open all year).
Distance: 2,2 miles from Gentofte Hotel.

Eksperimentarium:
A wonderful museum where everyone with an inquisitive mind can play their way to knowledge about the human being nature and technology.

The open air museum:
An authentically built village consisting of farms, cottage and fishermen’s houses in authentic sizes and architecture. the oldest buildings date back to the 16th century. In the summer you can also see the old workshop in action.

Open: from April to September.
Distance: 3,7 miles from Gentofte Hotel.

Boating:
At Frederiksdal. You have the options of short or long trips on the small river
Mølleåen. Choose between Lake Bagsværd, Lake Lyngby and Lake Furesø.

Museums and Art:
In the area, Ordupgaard, Øregaard museum and Gl. Holtegaard

Lake Gentofte:
Is our closest neighbour hood. The perfect setting for a brisk 1 ½ mile walk and jog.

Gentofte Church:
Situated some 328 yards from the hotel. Erected in the 12th century, it is Gentofte’s oldest building and the second oldest church in Denmark.

Bernstorff Park:
True palace gardens encircling Bernstorff Palace, the royal family’s ex-summer
residence with a beautiful rose garden.

Kildeskovshallen:
A beautiful swimming pool with panorama windows. There are 2 pool sizes to
hoose between as well as a children pool.
